Every “Best of” guide on DigiChristmas follows the same research process. This page explains how we choose products, what the Digi Score means, and what the labels in our product lists stand for.

Research, Not Hands-On Testing

We do not buy and test products ourselves. Instead, we research publicly available information for each product, including the manufacturer’s description, specifications, features and feedback from verified owners. We use software, including AI tools, to help collect and organize this information, and every guide is reviewed before it is published.

What the Digi Score Means

The Digi Score (0 to 10) is calculated automatically from product data such as customer ratings and the number of reviews. A product with a high average rating from many buyers scores higher than one with few reviews. The score is a quick way to compare products in the same list; it is not a lab test result.

  • It is calculated the same way for every product.
  • Brands cannot pay to change a score or a position.
  • Scores can change when product data is updated.

Labels in Our Product Lists

  • Top Pick: the product ranked first in that guide.
  • Runner-Up: the product ranked second.
  • Also Great: other strong options near the top of the list.

Pros and Cons

The pros and cons under each product (click View to open them) are summarized from the product’s own features, specifications and owner feedback. We do not include prices, because prices change often; please check the retailer for the current price.

Affiliate Links

Product links go to Amazon and other retailers. If you buy through these links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions never decide which products we include or how they rank. Read our Affiliate Disclaimer for details.
